Joining in on a Freshly Made Sketches Challenge with a card using Lilypad Lake. I am posting today just by the skin of my teeth. I have gotten behind on post challenges for some reason. Life does seem to be busy this summer.
This sketch uses two elements and of course you can use the exact shapes or change them up. I chose to stick to the shapes presented.
I need a retirement card for someone who is looking forward to lots of traveling in the future. I tend to go with bright and cherry cards and I thought the cute sail boats from LilyPad Lake would be nice and colorful.
The sun and the water have Wink of Stella to give the card some sparkly shine. Love this simple card so much I made two!
Thanks for stopping by today.

Today I have a First Home card to share that I created for Paper Craft Crew #300. I have never joined in on their challenges even though I look at them every week. Better late than never.
I needed a First Home card and wanted to keep it simple. This sketch fit that criteria.
I wanted my side element to be “off the edge” of this card so I cut the card base to 3 ½” wide so the lace element could hang off the side. I like the way the light can shine through the lace and the card will still fit in an envelope. See that cute home? It is from a Christmas stamp set. Our stamps are multipurpose.
Do you remember your first home? It was scary and exciting for us. I know my friend will enjoy receiving this card. I sure enjoyed creating it.

Hello Stampers! Today I have a card to share created with two new sets from the Annual Catalog. I combined the two to make a fun and colorful card.
Varied Vases was designed by Mary Fish a Million Dollar achiever at Stampin’ Up! This stamp set has been a big seller so far. I think anytime you have a punch that goes with a stamp set it is worth purchasing. Check it out – it may appeal to you.
Then there is this bunny…Look at that face.
He is certainly up to no good. There are three different faces for the bunny, so it makes this set multi-useful. I collect rabbits so of course I had to have this stamp set.
My inspiration for this card was this cute calendar I saw on the Anthropologie web site.
Here is my card, with the bunny who makes me smile.
I added a vase and flower on the inside to “pretty it up.”
