Friends of SUBA are scrapbooking this month. Focusing on summer activities is a fun way to preserve family memories.
We live on a lake and water activities are always popular. Our grandsons love being pulled on a tube. Especially when they get to fly over the wake waves. Just look at those happy faces.
To create this 8 x 8 page, I started with a base of Balmy Blue cardstock. I stamped a bubble-like image from Gallery Grunge with Balmy Blue ink. The swirl designer series paper is from See a Silhouette. I thought it looked like water waves! The words are also from the same pack of paper. The banner is embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.
While most people think of greeting cards when they hear the words Stampin’ Up!® but our products work just fine for scrapbooking. I love that I can use them for both hobbies.
Make sure you hop on to the next name on the list. I am sure you will be impressed.

The SUBA ladies are animal hopping this month. Our Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog has cats, dogs, fish, birds. octopus, seahorses, horses, cows, kangaroos, giraffes, rhinoceros, elephants and more. Oh, did I mention birds? We have LOTS of birds!
I chose to highlight the Free as a Bird Bundle. I am teaching a class Tuesday using this bundle so it was easy to base my animal cards on a bird stamp set. 2 birds with one stone.
My card front is Calypso Coral and I colored the birds with Blends so they would resemble robins. The Seaside Spray background helps set off the color of the birds. The swirls give the card so texture.
I had a few notebooks left over from a team meeting so I decided a sweet notebook was in order. It is covered with Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and the large bird is fussy cut from a different piece of the same paper. I love the way it turned out. I am sure my class attendees will like it as well.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hop on to Sandra’s blog. Her dog cards are adorable.

Good Morning Stampers! I am hopping along with my SUBA British Pals today. For once we are almost in the same time zone as I am currently vacationing in Spain & Portugal. Much closer than Atlanta, Georgia!
Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators have the privilege of pre-ordering some of the products from the upcoming NEW 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. This is just one of the many benefits of becoming a demonstrator.
We thought it would be fun to share projects we have created with our pre-order products.
I chose Good Morning Magnolia for three reasons:
Magnolias grow all over Georgia
This set is stunning
I needed a birthday card for a friend turning 100!
It is not every day you get to make a card for someone turning 100 and I wanted this card to be as pretty and she is.
I hope she liked it. I sure enjoyed making it and sending it. I bet I will get to make a 101-card next year.
Tips for creating this card:
I started by casing a card from the catalog, but of course I changed things up a little bit.
The base is one of Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More Cards & Envelopes
The next layer is a printed vellum sheet from Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack. I colored the leaves and flowers with blends. Add your adhesive behind the flowers so it will not show through the vellum.
The flowers are stamped, and die cut and colored with blends
I added sequins and tiny pearls for some shine and bling
There are also highlights on the flowers using Wink of Stella
Here is a small sample of the Memories & More Card Pack. These will make beautiful cards in jiffy.
Below is a sneak peek of the beautiful Designer Series Paper that coordinates with this bundle. It is almost too pretty to cut.
Here is the birthday girl and my husband celebrating her birthday, with beer and pizza. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Thanks so much for hopping along with us today. Make sure you leave a comment or two. We love comments.

Hello Stamping Friends! Happy Easter and Happy Spring.
I am so excited to be sharing with you today. We have been without Internet service for about 2 weeks and finally got it back up and working last Thursday. Talk about withdrawal!
You may have arrived here from Gina’s Blog or you may be starting with me. Either way be sure to check out the links at the bottom of this post. You won’t want to miss seeing these great cards.
Last week was the Stampin’ Up! ® OnStage Event. OnStage is held in numerous cities around the globe and all active demonstrators can attend if they wish. We get to see the NEW catalog, learn new techniques and most importantly we get to renew friendships with fellow demonstrators that we may not see very often. A fun activity most of us participate in is swapping. Each demonstrator creates multiple cards of the same design and we swap our cards. The swap cards give us so many new ideas and it is a lot fun.
This year I sent one of my swap designs to my SUBA friends in the UK. Caroline swapped for me and will be sending my swaps from the UK soon! So excited to see the beautiful cards I received.
This is the card I sent to the SUBA group.
Inside of the card.
I attended OnStage in Charlotte, North Carolina. I only took about 20 swaps and again used Geared Up Garage. This was my swap for Charlotte, NC.
Geared Up Garage is one of the best masculine stamp sets ever! There are so many ways to use this set. Check out my Geared Up Garage Pinterest Board for more ideas. I have been thinking about how I could make this a Barbie car and use it for a little girl. LOL
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you continue your travels by clicking on to the next blog. Leighsa always has great projects to share.

Welcome to the March Friends of SUBA Blog Hop. We are so glad you are here because Spring is busting out all over. Tiny flower buds, bulbs pushing out from the earth, leaves finally showing on the trees.
Spring is on the way!
While it may not be spring where you live it will at least be spring on our hop. The full line-up for our hop will be at the end of this post. Hop along with my friends and enjoy the springtime creations.
I chose to return to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog for inspiration. Beautiful Designer Series Paper gives you the opportunity to create pretty cards in a hurry.
I combined Share What You Love DSP with a Life is Grand stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. This “Distinktive” stamp has huge sentiments that can be a focal point on your card.
Look at the detail in this stamp.
I wasn’t sure which color ink I wanted to use so I made 2 cards. Which color do you like the best? Old Olive or Tranquil Tide? Add a few embellishments to give your card the finishing touch. I punched some Vellum leaves and added a small amount of ribbon. This card will mail easily which is always a good thing.
More inspiration awaits, hop on over to Leighsa, she has something special to share today.

I can’t believe another month has passed us by and it is time for a SUBA Blog Hop. Time sure does fly!
This month we voted to focus on Spring Colors. I enjoy making cards with soft spring like colors. For my clothing I wear bright and bold colors but most of my cards tend to be pastels or mid tone. Wonder why?? What is your favorite combo for card crafting? I would like to hear your ideas so I can expand my color themes.
Here is my card:
Of course, I had to make more than one card. I like to have a stash of cards to send as needed.
Love the sentiment on this card.
This tiny vase and flowers are part of a new set, Vibrant Vases. (2019 Occasions Catalog) This new stamp set uses the same punch as the Varied Vases set. You get double use from one punch!
I also created a sweet little box using the same colors. This Window Box can hold a pretty bar of scented soap, a piece of jewelry or even a gift card. I love to give small treats to my friends that are not so expensive. This box full of chocolates would be perfect.
Make sure you hop on to Katy. Leave her some love as this is her first time hopping with us!
I always enjoy hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.
