Stamptastic Freinds Share 3D Projects

Hello friends. It sure seems like I have been out of town more than I have been home these past few months. Currently we are in New York City taking in all the sights. Because I knew I had limited time to create a 3D item I chose to use the easy button!

Have you noticed the Bag Combos in the September-December catalog? These are so versatile and easy to embellish and decorate.

This is the sample from the Stampin’ Up! site. It is so cute with the heart cute out. I think you could use a tree die to create a fun Christmas bag with the same concept.

I decided to cover the front of the larger bag with Sentimental Christmas Designer Paper. I stamped the sentiment before I adhered the DSP. The handle is created with this lovely Lost Lagoon Soft Cording. This cording is silky and soft. The Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries finish off the pine branches nicely.

Isn’t it great we can create such pretty packaging even if we have limited time? Stampin’ Up! products make it so easy!

Make sure you hop on for more 3D inspiration.

CASE a Stamptastic Friend

stamptastic friends blog hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends blog hop! This month we are casing a team member…talk about a hard choice. All the Stamptastic Friends create beautiful projects.

I searched around and found this card by Katie Drew, it spoke to me because of the colors and simplicity.  Fall is my favorite season so creating a card to send friends during this time of the year makes me happy. Katie’s card uses Iconic Imagery Bundle and Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.

I chose to go with the same Iconic Imagery stamp bundle and card design layout. I double stamped the leaves in a variety of fall colors and then die cut them. I changed my color scheme by using Iconic Celebrations 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  I turned this into a Thanksgiving card by changing the sentiment using Autumn Expressions stamp set. Thanks to Katie I now have my favorite fall card.

Stamptastic Friends are Sharing Coloring Tips

stamptastic friends blog hop

It’s exciting that Stamptastic friends are sharing coloring tips today! As someone who enjoys crafting, I am always on the lookout for new techniques and inspiration. I bet you are also.

Creating the same card with different coloring mediums is a fantastic way to explore their unique effects. Blends tend to give a softer, yet clear color, while Watercolor Pencils offer a brighter and more rustic look. Both have their charm!

And how exciting to get a sneak peek of the upcoming bundle, “Winterly Tree Tops.” Versatility is key, especially when a stamp set can be used for birthdays, thinking-of-you cards, and even Christmas greetings.

As for my favorite between the two cards, I like the clear look of the Blends version—it feels serene and refined. But there’s something unique about the vibrant colors and rustic feel of the Watercolor Pencils card. It depends on the mood you want to convey!

Today, the Stamptastic Friends community is excited to present a sketch challenge! Sketches are a fantastic source of inspiration for card-making enthusiasts like myself. What’s your take on sketches? Do you find them inspiring? A simple yes or no will do!

Here’s the sketch, presented in both Metric and Imperial measurements. Remember, sketches are just a starting point—they invite creativity! Feel free to transform circles into squares or switch out banners for ribbons. And let’s not forget, a touch of bling never hurts!

For my creation, I adhered closely to the original sketch but couldn’t resist adding a flourish of Christmas Greenery for a festive touch.

Stamptastic Friends Share Masculine Cards

stamptastic friends blog hop

In the midst of preparing for our journey, I carved out a moment to craft a distinctive card with a masculine touch for a dear friend. May this serene image offer peace and serenity.

I gravitated towards the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper once more—truly the gem of the new Annual Catalog. It’s coupled with the classic Grassy Grove set, though I believe the fresh In the Grove set could equally adorn this layout. It’s delightful to have the flexibility to blend our collections.

Grassy Grove

The silhouette of the tree, die-cut in Basic Black, casts an evocative twilight scene. It’s as though dusk is descending, yet the deer paused to relish the sky’s lingering hues. At the DSP’s base, I’ve stippled some grass in Pretty Peacock ink.

February Stamptasic Friends Color Challenge

stamptastic friends blog hop

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stamptastic Friends hop, where we are showcasing cards with a beautiful color combination. I’m so happy that these colors are some of my personal favorites!

Color combinations are a wonderful way to inspire your card making. I decided to use the Painted Lavender bundle, but I changed the lavender colors to Berry Burst. Flowers can come in any color you like, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different color schemes. I had a lot of fun creating with these vibrant colors. I was so immersed that I made two cards.

My first card features the gorgeous Perennial Lavender Designer Paper. The texture and delicate designs are a stunning background for the lovely Berry Burst flowers. Brass butterflies add a touch of whimsy to the card.

My second card highlights the three colors of the design. Deckled Rectangles create texture and soft edges to the cardstock. And of course, Wink of Stella adds sparkle and shine to both cards. I love how enjoyable card making can be when we have versatile supplies.
