Hello Stampers! It is a Simple Sunday here at the beach. We have been blessed to have several friends join us over the week and the relaxing time spent catching up has done us so much good. Good friends, good times & good food just can’t be beat.

For my Simple Sunday with Stampin’ Up! I chose to use the reindeer from Santa’s Sleigh. I love his prancing hooves. Shhh, don’t tell I used retired champagne glimmer paper because I ran out of gold! I have no idea how I ran out of gold glimmer paper. No worries, I have ordered some.
The Merry & Bright sentiment came from the November Paper Pumpkin. The stamps you get in Paper Pumpkin are useful all year long. Paper Pumpkin would make the perfect gift for a teen crafter in your family or an friend with limited space would also enjoy getting this craft kit in the mail. The hop today focuses on Holiday Gift Tags. I wanted to make some musical tags as two of our grandsons are playing in the high school band this year. These tags will look really cute on their packages.

I enjoy making fancy tags. They are like little hugs on a piece of ribbon. They also make a great focal point on a card. Create a background, add the tag = instant card for when you are in a hurry.

I enjoyed the Global Design Project last week so I decided to give it a go again. This week’s color challenge for the Global Design Project #109 are Gold, Basic Black and Old Olive; fun and fresh colors, just right for this season.
I knew when I saw the Splitcoast tutorial that I would also work it into this color challenge. I really liked the fun fold created by Dawn Olchefske.

I used Santa’s Sleigh and Watercolor Christmas for my card. I love the bold sentiments of Watercolor Christmas. Check them out here. The bright, bold colors of Merry Little Christmas also fit this challenge to a T. Of course I had to use Gold Embossing, Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Foil Sheets for some bling. The tree has some Wink of Stella to give it a frosted look.
