Petal Promenade Sympathy Card

Do you struggle with using Designer Series Paper? I hear this comment almost every day among my crafty friends. Don’t be afraid to cut it up and USE it…there are always new designs being released and you are going to love those just as much as the ones you are hoarding!

Petal Promenade

Today my sympathy card uses the beautiful Petal Promenade DSP. The deep rich colors are perfect for this sympathy card. The pretty rose stamp from Petal Palette coordinates perfectly. Card crafting made easy.

It is hard to see but the roses have a little Wink of Stella to give them a fresh shine.

There are three Sale-a-bration items on this card: The sentiment is part of the Lasting Lily stamp set, the tiny lace border is from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper and Petal Promenade DSP are all included in SAB offerings. You can read more about Sale-a-bration HERE.

I am sharing projects created using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. This paper is so pretty that I was afraid to cut it. I am so glad I did though. This paper makes gorgeous cards. The paper does all the hard work and you get to create beautiful cards!

This first card has a little different fold to it. Nothing fancy but it is a nice change from a regular folded card.  Cut the card base at 5 ½” x 6 ½”. Score at 4” and crease. Cut one piece of DSP at 5 ½” x  2 ½” and a contrasting piece at 5 ½” x 2”. Adhere pieces to card front and inside toward the bottom. Leave white at the top inside for your message. Add a ribbon accent on card front. I used Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon here. Then stamp sentiment layer with circles and adhere to card front using dimensionals. Pearls are from the Share What You Love Suite.

The next two cards really use the DSP to create a sweet card. Both cards have the same layout but I flipped the design. The DSP has a lot of pink in it and it actually makes the Champagne Foil Paper look pink. Love that look!
