Today I am sharing a fun, messy technique with you. I was inspired by Jackie Bolhuis when she shared water coloring with ink refills. This is so cool and each time you try it you get a fresh look.
This technique also worked well with the Global Design Project this week – shapes.

It has been a busy spring and start of summer. I really am having trouble keeping up! LOL
I decided to try a Sketch Challenge to help me get back in the swing of things.
The Global Design Project is always one of my go-to sketches and I always get creative ideas from the team. Sketch #348 is so soft and simple. You know I adore simple.
I also kept my card clean and simple, but went with brighter colors.
I stamped ink splatters in the Pool Party card base, you only need to stamp around the edges.
Next, I took a dauber, Pool Party, and a mask from the new Artistic Mix Masks. This created the focal point in the center of the card.
I stamped the Polka Dot Bathing Suit with Real Red on a scrap of Basic White and fussy cut it with my snips. The sentiment is Real Red also.
Can you see how I gave a nod to the tiny heart? The new Heart Pearls are so fun.
I had so much fun creating this card. I smiled the entire time….

Today finds me sharing another project for the Global Design Project. This week the challenge is CASE the designer. Janneke de Jongis one of my favorite card crafters. She makes stunning and interesting cards.
I was inspired by her color choice as well as the Stitched Label. Yellow is such a happy color – so bright and sunshiny. Just what I needed for inspiration.
I also decided to give some love to stamps and die sets that have been overlooked in the Annual Catalog.
These butterflies are beautiful. I need to use them more often.
See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper worked magic to create the butterfly colors. Each card came out different yet pretty. The rhinestones were colored with a Night of Navy Blends.

Global Design Project #199 has a fun design challenge this week. For the Love of Craft. Perfect theme for a crafty person.
I have tried many crafts in my lifetime. Knitting, needlepoint, sewing, & beading, you name it I have probably tired it. I enjoy knitting and paper crafts the best though. What crafts have you tried in the past?
My card today uses two crafty stamp sets: New Wonders and Crafting Forever. The sweet flying pixies are so fun to color. Coloring with blends gets easier with practice. Don’t be afraid to give them a try.

Do you enjoy coloring and simple stamping? This card is for you!
I love to color with blends, but tiny images are hard on my mature eyes. The boldness of this truck is perfect for me.
Of course, I think all pick-up trucks should be shiny & red, but you can change the color to suit the recipient.
The super fun balloons make this a great celebration card. I added the balloons to go with the Global Design Project Challenge of the week.
There are other images to add to the back of the pick-up…I can’t wait to make a Christmas card. So fun!

Welcome Stampers. Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP166.
I really needed some gift tags and I thought this sweet sketch would work well for a tag as well as a card.
I created 4 different gift tags and loved the reindeer one so much I made a matching card.
To create a card or tag using this design look at your stamps and dies and find some small focal images. It was easy to come up with a large variety in a short amount of time.
