Cozy Cottage in Ireland
Our grandsons are in Ireland this week as their band is marching in the St, Patrick’s Day Parade! They are so excited and have worked long and hard for this honor. We are proud of them and the entire Legacy Lightening Band.
Let’s go to Ireland
When I created this card, it reminded me of some of the cottages we saw in rural Ireland, even though sod roofs are not usually orange. The cozy, comfortable feel is what I was aiming for when I colored this image. I really wish I could visit her, curl up near the fire and read a good book. Then the next day I am sure I would be ready to get back to my creature comforts! A girl can dream, can’t she?
The Soft Sky base of the card is embossed using the Seaside embossing folder. I thought it gave the impression of blowing wind. The image is water colored on Shimmery White cardstock using reinkers and the aqua painters.
