Last Minute Gift Card Holders

I’m just popping in today with a quick & easy gift card/money holder. It is helpful to have some of these on hand “just in case”! The good thing about these is you can make them in just minutes using some of your left over Designer Series Paper scraps. Make a few for every occasion; birthdays, Christmas, Valentine’s Day. It is an enormous time saver.

Here are the measurements I used:

Cut your cardstock 7 ¾” x 5”  Score at 6” & 2 ½”

Cut a belly band 8” x 1” Score at 6 1/8”  & 2 ½”

Cut 2 pieces of DSP: 4 ¾” x 2 ¼” & 4 ¾” x 1 ½”

Cut one piece of white or vanilla cardstock 4 ¾” x 1 ½” for inside.

Once you layer and adhere the DSP you can create a finger slot using a 1 ½” circle punch. Seal the sides only of the bottom section using score tape or Tombow glue.

Fit belly band around the Gift Card Holder. Adhere the ends together and decorate as you wish. These can be plain or over the top fancy. Get creative!

Thanks for stopping by today! I know your friends will love these little gifts.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe for #TGIF138

TGIF has a fun challenge this week…Christmas Carols. The suggestion is to pick a Christmas Carol and create a card or project. Of course, not everyone celebrates Christmas so they said just pick a song. That works!

Love them or hate them Christmas Carols are part of the holiday season. I just wish they didn’t start playing them in store until AFTER Thanksgiving! There is something wrong with hearing Jingle Bells when it is 90 degrees outside.

I had a hard time picking just one song so I made two cards; one card for fun and one more serious. I love them both.

Let’s do fun first – Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Randy Travis inspired this card.

We Three Kings inspired my other card. I wanted dark glimmer paper behind the star so I covered Night of Navy cardstock with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. It really sparkles!

How about you? What kind of cards do you send?

Here is some real fun! I thought you might enjoy this.

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Oh Joy for Fab Friday127

Fab Friday Challenge this week is a Christmas Free-For-All Party. How fun is that? Lots of holiday ideas to finish out your crafty, Christmas season. Make sure you check out all the projects. They are inspiring.

Christmas is getting closer and closer. If you have not started on your Christmas cards yet then this one will make you happy. This design and stamp set are great for mass production. And it looks stunning!

I think Year of Cheer Designer paper is some of the prettiest paper we have ever carried. I actually stocked up on a few packs before it retires. Watercolor Christmas is also retiring….but this is one I will keep for a while. I love the beautiful script.

I wish I could write that pretty. No worries though, I own the stamp!

Do you see the copper rhinestones? I used the Bronze Blends marker to color them. They look like Chocolate Diamonds. Love!!!

Don’t forget that many of your favorite products will be retiring the end of December. Contact me if you would like to place an order before all the pretties are sold out.

Peace and Joy to you on this beautiful Sunday.

Merriest Christmas Wishes

Have you noticed a theme lately? I seem to be obsessed with snowflakes! We live in the south – that may be part of the issue. I do love snow, but not the mess it creates. I guess if it’s on a card it isn’t making a mess on the roads or in the house.

A few weeks ago, one of my friends came over to stamp and she brought me a pretty snowflake card. I liked the design so much I decided to copy it. The only thing I changed was the snowflakes. My snowflakes are copper and hers were gold. The original card was vertical but I decided to turn one on it’s side. I like both layouts. How about you?

al

The only time-consuming part of this card is the die cutting of all all the snowflakes. But they are so worth it!

If you like the beautiful script of Watercolor Wishes it is on the retiring list. Get it today!

Musical Season by Stampin’ Up

French Horns are one of my favorite instruments. They are so classy looking and make the best sound! They are also difficult to play, or so I’ve heard. Stampin’ Up! Makes it easy for you to enjoy the French Horn even if you can’t play any instrument.

Here is my simple card for the day. It uses this beautiful set: Musical Season. If you love this set, you will want to order it soon as it is retiring the end of December. So many of the images in this set can be used for card that are not necessarily Christmas. It is very versatile. I can see many ways you could use it. How about you?

Hello Stampers! It is a Simple Sunday here at the beach. We have been blessed to have several friends join us over the week and the relaxing time spent catching up has done us so much good. Good friends, good times & good food just can’t be beat.

The Merry & Bright sentiment came from the November Paper Pumpkin. The stamps you get in Paper Pumpkin are useful all year long. Paper Pumpkin would make the perfect gift for a teen crafter in your family or an friend with limited space would also enjoy getting this craft kit in the mail. Paper Pumpkin is a gift that lasts all year long! Click HERE to read about it.
