Two For the Price of One – Paper Players 428

Hello Friends. I have two fun cards to share with you today. Same card in two totally different color schemes.

A few weeks ago, I taught a Beginning Stamping class and we created this lovely card. I think blue and yellow combinations are some of my favorite. This card is so bright and cheery and makes me long for spring.

#simplestamping. Beauty Abounds

Then I saw the Paper Players #428 color challenge:

Here is the same card but different colors. I LOVE the difference and the colors just pop on this card.

(sorry the gingham ribbon is retired)

Changed the sentiment…

4 Tags & A Card For Global Design Project

Welcome Stampers. Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP166.

I really needed some gift tags and I thought this sweet sketch would work well for a tag as well as a card.

I created 4 different gift tags and loved the reindeer one so much I made a matching card.

To create a card or tag using this design look at your stamps and dies and find some small focal images. It was easy to come up with a large variety in a short amount of time.

Today is the last day of 10% off Tools & Ink.

Spirited Snowmen meet Freshly Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches had a very unusual sketch this week. It got me inspired to ink up my new Spirited Snowmen stamp set.

Here is the sketch #358:

Here is my Loving Snowmen card:

These dancing, skating, dreaming snowmen are darling. This set is a good winter set that does not have to be Christmas. I think this one would be perfect for a winter wedding anniversary. What do you think?

Tips for creating the Spirited Snowmen card:

  • Stamp wording and die cut your circle before you run the card stock through the embossing folder. Then you can use the circle for part of your inside sentiment.
  • Color with Stampin’ Up! Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • Use a very light coating of Tombow glue to fill in the snowmen and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds.
  • Once you get the image positioned you can glue it down.
  • Layer top piece using dimensionals to give it some dimension.

Do you see the new product I used on this card? Velveteen Cardstock!! It is so soft and smooth. You will be able to order is in November.  Put it on your Shopping List!

Now I can’t wait to try the ice-skating snowman.

Timeless Tidings for Paper Craft Crew #306

Paper Craft Crew (PCC306) has a sketch challenge this week, so I decided to give it a try. The new Holiday Catalog was just released so it made sense to create a Christmas card using Timeless Tidings.

Here is PCC306 sketch:

Here is my card:

The sweet little poinsettia is from Timeless Tidings stamp set. Make sure you look at this stamp set and the matching kit to go with the stamps. It is a beautiful kit! Perfect for some fast and lovely Christmas cards.

My favorite sentiment is the one that wishes you the “Warmth of Christmas.”

I used one of our Mini Pizza Boxes to create this gift for neighbors and friends. I used the Stampin’ Up sponge brayer to color the box Garden Green, added a square of Real Red cardstock and All is Bright DSP, added the sentiment and a bow. Inside are 4 votive candles – for the “Warmth of Christmas”.

Shine Christmas Card for Global Design Project #154

I am participating in the Global Design Project sketch challenge this week. Loved GDP sketch #154 – it is one I will use over and over.

Once again, I have used some of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper as a focal point for a card. The silver and gold Christmas Baubles just make this card pop. The new glimmer paper is thinner than the glimmer paper we used to carry. It makes die cutting a breeze.

I wanted some bling but did not want to use rhinestones. I used a white sequin and added a gold pearl to the center. Something a tad different.

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment!

Fancy Folds for Paper Craft Crew #304

Fancy folds are some of my favorite cards to create. Who doesn’t love getting a unique, fun card in the mail? Paper Craft Crew had a fancy fold challenge this week, so I decided to join in.

PCC304

This card is not only a fancy fold it is also very feminine. I bet a sweet little girl would enjoy getting this or maybe an elegant lady who loves pinks and lavenders. I bet I can find someone who would enjoy receiving this in their mailbox.

My Fancy Fold Card

Delicate Lace Edgelits Stampin' Up Ginny Harrell PCC#304

Petal Promenade DSP has two pages with printed boarder shapes. I started with one of the squares and started layering die cuts and ribbon. I love the pink and purple combination.

Have you noticed these Delicate Lace Edgelits in the catalog? They are easy to overlook. Check them out on page 217.They make quite a statement on your card.

Here is the inside of the card. I think it needs some flowers added to the inside.  What do you think?
