I am joining in on a sketch challenge today. CAS(E) retro #343 caught my eye. I also needed to create a non-traditional Christmas color card for a team challenge, so this card satisfies both tasks.
Here is the sketch:
Here is my non-traditional Christmas colors card:
This foil card stock is so bright and pretty! I like the way this card turned out and could see it duplicated in many different colors.
A tip for die cutting foil card stock – always use a new cutting plate so the foil does not pick up scratches.

New week. New sketch challenge. CAS(E) this Sketch has a simple sketch that lends itself to Clean and Simple cards. I needed some sympathy cards and I like my sympathy cards to be clean and simple. The thought is the important part, not lots of ribbon or bling.
I pulled out a set I had not used in awhile: Lilypad Lake. I paired it with Balmy Blue and a touch of Rich Razzleberry. Allowing the egret and lilypads to go outside the circles gives the design some movement and dimension. Of course, adding the waves from the embossing folder creates texture. A lot going on but still very subtle.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I spent some time trying to catch up and prep for my first stamp club meeting of 2018. Let me know if you are interested in a stamp club. Stamp clubs are lots of fun and each hostess gets amazing rewards. This is the perfect way to build up your collection.
Such a fun set. I have a couple of other ideas I will be sharing with you in the next few weeks. One cool thing to note: You can order this set as a bundle(stamps & Framelits), add a few dimensionals or tape runner to your order and you have enough to earn the matching Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper for FREE! Sale-a-bration is the most wonderful time of the year.
TIP: To make the soda bottles shiny I stamped then with the colored ink and then stamped again using Versamark. I then heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder. The bottle caps are Silver Foil cardstock. The one circle bottle top is cut from the DSP.

My wish for you is health, happiness, peace and love in 2018.
Today I am sharing a card I created for CAS(E) this Sketch #252. This sure is a tricky sketch! I love how my card turned out though. It is bright, cheery and busy!
I planned to make my card pink and black and then this happened:
I have always loved black and yellow mixed together. I guess my hand just went into the Crushed Curry drawer and grabbed the paper. (smile) I wanted the “amazing” to stand out a little bit – it is 4 layers of card stock to give it dimension. The Celebrate You Thinlit Dies are from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Isn’t that script pretty?
The new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration start January 3, 2018. Do you have your wish list started???

Fun News….I was picked as a Princess on Freshly Made Sketches this week. What a nice surprise and honor. I have always wanted to be a Princess! In case you missed it you can see my card here. Thanks Linda for highlighting my card.
I’m back today with a half sneak peek. When demonstrators attend OnStage Convention we win lots of free goodies. I won Magical Day stamp set, a whimsical set that seems to focus on cards for children. It has wizards, dragons and mermaids…oh so cute. Our grandchildren are over that stage so I decided to look at this set in different light. Who wouldn’t like to have a Magical Day?
This card uses a sketch from CAS(E) this sketch. It is a nice simple design that can lead to lots of creativity. CASE(E) #251
Can you see my sneak peaks? 1. Magical Day Stamps 2. Sequins with glue dots 3. Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing folder 4. Turquoise Glimmer Paper.
The sequins with glue dots are genius. They are such brilliant colors and no more mess getting them to stick to your cards.
You can order these new items and MORE starting January 3, 2018. Need a catalog? Contact me and I get one in the mail to you.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is MAGICAL!

Case This Sketch has my all-time favorite sketch this week. I love cards that have corner accent highlights. When I am in a creative slump I tend to return to a design similar to this sketch.
I also have made sooooo many Christmas cards I am ready to switch it up and make something a little bit different. I’m not tired of Christmas yet, just the card making! A stash of Thinking of You cards is just what I needed to make. To add a pop of color I used the Rich Razzleberry Blends pen to color the White Perfect Accents. Have I told you how wonderful the Blends are??
Don’t forget the Year End Sale Event. Some wonderful sets will be retiring.
I want to remind you the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration catalog will be out soon. Sale-a-bration is absolutely the best time of the year. Free stamps, paper and embellishments! You will love the selection we have this year. If you would like to receive a catalog, and don’t currently have a demonstrator, I would love to send you the catalogs. Please email me at ginnyharrell@gmail.com to request a catalog and I will get one in the mail to you ASAP.
