We are still enjoying our vacation, so it seems a good time to share a card using BeautifuI Day stamp set. Our vacation has been beautiful. I wished for snow and I got it. Actually, we almost had too much snow as it got sort of slippery.
Casing the catalog is one of my favorite ways to get out of a card making slump. You can take the catalog design and copy exactly, or you can use the design to inspire you to create something entirely new. Do you ever CASE the Catalog?
Here is my take on the card on page 26 of the 2018 Occasions Catalog. You can use the Blends pens to color the flower or use Brusho for a different look. Either way both cards come out lovely.
Change the cardstock color and get a different card! To create this card you will use Cherry Cobbler Blends.
For the second card you will use Rich Razzleberry Blends.

Stampin’ Up has provided a video on how to use the Brusho on this card. I love how they give us so much information and inspiration on how to re-create their designs or as a starting point for our personal crafting. Enjoy!
Our time in Paris is about to come to an end. My husband is already trying to figure out how to get us back sometime soon! Can you tell we both love living in Paris? I am almost ready to be at home and get back in my craft room. I am also ready to have my own bed and pillow. Those little creature comforts we all enjoy!

CASEing the catalog again today. The Sweet Soiree Embellishments Kit is one of the best we have ever offered. It is perfect for scrapbook pages and creating cards. The pretty little cakes would be just the thing to dress up an Anniversary Celebration scrapbook page. I bet it would also work to fancy up a gift bag. Those tassels and mini-clothes pins are extra cute.
My card for today is on page 10 of the 2018 Occasions Catalog. It is a quick and easy card for when you are in a hurry.
The velvet ribbon is so soft and sweet and adding the tassel= love!

Today is the last Truly Tailored day and I am CASEing the catalog. Pages 44 and 45 in the 2018 Occasions Catalog are full of masculine inspiration.
I chose this card because it uses almost every side of the natty True Gentleman DSP. This card is also quick and easy. Make a bunch to keep on hand for birthdays.
Notice I didn’t have the wooden buttons, so I used one of the corrugated elements. Sometimes we just have to get innovative.

I usually case the catalog sometime during the weekend. It saves me time and I love the results. Why reinvent the wheel???
Pages 10-13 in the 2018 Occasions Catalog showcase some really yummy cards. The Sweet Soiree Suite works for wedding, anniversary, baby shower, birthday and so much more. I think this set covers just about everything!
My CASE today is from page 10. This is a birthday card and a shaker card. I love shaker cards. If you have trouble with the sequins sticking to your acetate I have 2 solutions for you: lightly rub acetate with an embossing buddy or add a few tiny seed beads to your sequins. The beads help break up the static cling. They also give it a nice little rattle.
Two things I love on the card: the gorgeous ribbon and the flowers from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit.

Fabulous Flamingo is FABULOUS, perfect for all your flamboyant friends. I pretty much stuck to the design but changed out the words as I thought it would make a good Valentine’s Day card.
Can you guess how many Valentines are mailed every year? The Greeting Card Association calculates that 145 million Valentine’s Day cards are sent out every year in the United States. I send about 40 Valentines I think. I’ll count this year and see. That is a lot of happy mail!
