Today I am sharing a sneak peek at one of the new stamps sets that will be released January 2018. Bird Banter is so very cute! You will love the many different ways you can use this set.
Did you know birds are high maintenance pets? They need fresh food, water and interaction every day. Just like all pets! We have neighbors who own birds and when they travel they have called upon us to pet sit or just stop in and talk to the birds – they get lonely for a human voice.
I thought Bird Banter would make a joyful, funny Christmas card for our friends.
What do you think? Is this joyful enough? I know it will bring a smile and a laugh.
The tree branch is from Best Birds and the ornaments are from Carols of Christmas. It is fun to combine sets to create unique cards. Creating cards is one of the best jobs I have ever had!
I know this set will be a big seller from the new catalog. Put it on your wish list today.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Sunday was a busy day. We started off visiting a flea market in Mauer Park (Flohmarkt AM Mauerpark). It was interesting to see what they had to sell. It looked just like our flea markets! Old LP records seemed to be hot items along with light fixtures and kitchen goods. There were a few vendors with new items such as shopping bags, clothing and jewelry. Ann and I bought earrings!
This park also has some remaining sections of the Berlin Wall.
Lunch was Currywurst at the PlayOff – an American Sports Bar. They did have good looking hamburgers but we voted for German food.
The afternoon was spent at the Berlin Zoo. It was so much more peaceful than the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Berlin is big and busy. It has taken us a few days to figure out the public transportation. Even after figuring it out we realized it is not very dependable and it is often late and always crowded.
The city is full of tourists who are just as lost as we are! I can’t imagine how crowded it would be during the high tourist season. It is bad enough in low tourist season.
Here are some highlights of our past two days. We visited 3 of the 5 museums on Museum Island. They have some stunning collections.
Praying Egyptian
Bust of an Egyptian
Part of a Wall
Islamic Art
Ishtar Gate
Mshatta Facade
Part of Pergamon Acropolis
Today we visited the remaining parts of the Berlin Wall and took a boat ride.
Here are some photos of our colorful apartment.
The weather is getting colder each day, but at least it isn’t hot!
We must be in Berlin…..We arrived in Berlin yesterday a little after noontime. Our apartment owner picked us up at the bus stop and drove us to our apartment. It is a very colorful apartment and Bernd is a very colorful personality! I will post pictures of the apartment later. Bernd showed us around the area, took us to KaDeWe, the supermarket and the beverage shop. We ate dinner at a street shop and Bernd suggested we order the #13 (klein serving) of stir-fried beef and vegetables. Klein is small….the large must be enough for 3 people!
We have been going like crazy for the past two weeks so we decided to chill today. Resting our weary bones, swollen ankles and tired feet. But I can assure you ….my tired feet will be walking to the KaDeWe before this day is over.
I promised myself that I would learn how to use My Digital Studio software while on this trip. I want to return home with a completed scrapbook. Do you think I can do it?
