His Light for Klyie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello Friends. I am taking a Business Class with Kylie Bertucci this Stampin’ Up year. One of the perks of this class is the opportunity to participate in an International Blog Hop. You will absolutely want to click on every blog link for some amazing inspiration.

Let’s get hopping!

I chose a stamp set I have not seen used much-yet. I know it will become popular once folks see the lovely cards and projects they can create. Another plus is the cards are simple and stunning.

“His Light” has 4 beautiful script verses. You can use these as a focal point of your card or as the sentiment for cards with other images. I always say you can never have enough words!

I chose to use the large Rejoice as my main focal point.

Combining the gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper made this card shine.

Have you noticed all the copper products we have in our catalogs this year? Copper is a very on-trend right now in the fashion world and in card crafting. Here are just a few copper products we are currently carrying.

Copper Products

You may not be able to see the copper shine of the Rejoice. To get this effect without using embossing powder I used the new Copper Shimmer Paint and dabbed it directly on the stamp. It makes a nice shiny sentiment but you don’t have to use your heat gun. I also think the subtle shine is perfect for this card. Use your stamparatus and stamp multiples. You will be impressed with the way if looks. To clean my stamp I used a Shammy and a dry paint brush to get all leftover ink from the corners and edges.

Now it is time for you to check out all the other blogs.  Grab a cup of coffee or a cool drink and enjoy yourself. Leave a comment or two. Everyone loves comments.

Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Cauldron Bubble for Inspire.Create #026

Popping in with a quick Halloween post. I love everything about Halloween if it is cute, funny and not scary. This sweet little witch from Cauldron Bubble is not scary in the least! Her cute clothes and face make me smile.

This card was inspired by the Inspire.Create sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch:

 Here is my card:

The little witch is colored with Blends and the bat has a touch of Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle.

Timeless Tidings for Paper Craft Crew #306

Paper Craft Crew (PCC306) has a sketch challenge this week, so I decided to give it a try. The new Holiday Catalog was just released so it made sense to create a Christmas card using Timeless Tidings.

Here is PCC306 sketch:

Here is my card:

Timeless tidings PCC306 Ginny Harrell

The sweet little poinsettia is from Timeless Tidings stamp set. Make sure you look at this stamp set and the matching kit to go with the stamps. It is a beautiful kit! Perfect for some fast and lovely Christmas cards.

My favorite sentiment is the one that wishes you the “Warmth of Christmas.”

I used one of our Mini Pizza Boxes to create this gift for neighbors and friends. I used the Stampin’ Up sponge brayer to color the box Garden Green, added a square of Real Red cardstock and All is Bright DSP, added the sentiment and a bow. Inside are 4 votive candles – for the “Warmth of Christmas”.

Shine Christmas Card for Global Design Project #154

I am participating in the Global Design Project sketch challenge this week. Loved GDP sketch #154 – it is one I will use over and over.

Once again, I have used some of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper as a focal point for a card. The silver and gold Christmas Baubles just make this card pop. The new glimmer paper is thinner than the glimmer paper we used to carry. It makes die cutting a breeze.

I wanted some bling but did not want to use rhinestones. I used a white sequin and added a gold pearl to the center. Something a tad different.

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment!

Touches of Texture for #TGIFC158

It seems like I have been gone for a long time …. we took a lovely vacation to Italy and returned last week. I hope to post vacation pictures soon. Jet lag has finally subsided, and I feel back to normal. Today I am jumping right back into blogging with a TGIF Challenge using Touches of Texture.

This week the challenge is a color challenge and it is two of my favorite colors, plus black. Yea! I adore Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. Lemon Line Twist is a color you either love or hate. Love fits me just fine when it comes to Lemon Lime Twist.

Touches of Texture Card

Timeless Textures card created by Ginny Harrell

To create this card, you will need Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and Touches of Texture stamp set. You can easily change the look of the card by choosing different colors, just in case you don’t love Lemon Lime Twist (smile). I purposely left off the sentiment so this card could be used for any occasion. It always helps to have a stash you can go to when need a special card.

Touches of Texture has great texture stamps that create fun backgrounds, but it also has some wonderful flower images. The tiny dragonfly is super cute.

There is a lot going on at Stampin’ Up during May. The Occasions Catalog will end May 31: the retiring list is out and products are flying off the shelf, the Clearance Rack has amazing deals and we are all eagerly awaiting the new catalog. If you have any favorite items that are retiring I suggest you order as soon as possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be glad to help you with your orders.

Do you need a New 2018-2019 Annual Catalog? If you don’t have a current demonstrator I would love to send you a catalog. Leave me a message under comments and I will get back to you.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Retiring Stampin' Up Products #ginny harrell #blog hop

This time of the SU year is always bittersweet. We anxiously await the new Annual Catalog, but we are sad to see some of our old friends leave us. I personally will miss Watercolor Wings, Santa’s Sleigh, Work of Art & Awesomely Artistic.

Which stamp sets will you miss the most?

I have 2 cards to share with you today.

#Retiring Stampin' Up Products #Stampin' Up #Ginny Harrell #Grown with Love

The first one uses Grown with Love. The images in this set are perfect for the gardener or flower lover in your life.

This card is cut narrower, so the watering can hang off the front, yet it still fits in a regular envelope.

Check out the tiny water drops. These cuties are retiring also.

My second card uses Birthday Wit stamp set. A little bit sarcastic and a lot of fun. The layout is the Triangle Fold Card I shared last week. You can see it HERE.
