Your Friendship Warms My Heart

It has been a crazy few days, but I think I am finally catching up. Robert and I went to Orlando for the Stampin’ Up!® OnStage Event. I was excited that several team members also attended. We were spoiled and treated to many, many gifts along with several training sessions.

One big party!

Today I am sharing one of my OnStage swaps. I absolutely love this skating snowman. He is so darling. Even though Spirited Snowmen is a Christmas set I think this card would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. What do you think?

Demonstrators bring cards and 3D items to swap with each other. Fun times meeting new friends. I was so lucky to get some beautiful cards made with stamp sets I don’t currently own. Win, win! I will  photograph and share as soon as it stops raining and the sun comes out.

Stay tuned for posts about the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration. Both catalogs are outstanding.

Two New Catalogs

Dashing Deer for Christmas

Hello stampers. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I have been busy getting ready to attend OnStage. This is the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!® and the OnStage event should be amazing! I can’t wait to see all the new products and chat with all my stamping friends from all around the world.

Today I have an easy Christmas card to share with you. Dashing Deer stamps and dies are great for impressive cards that will wow your friends.

Elegant Dashing Deer

Tip: To get a smooth “deer” use a new cutting plate that does not have scratches on it. I also use a piece of copy paper over the copper foil to keep it from getting scratches or dents. If you get the little dots on your deer, turn it over and rub them out with a bone folder. Unfortunately, this Designer Series Paper (Joyous Noel) has sold out for the year. This paper must have been very popular!

I will be posting pictures of OnStage this week. Check in daily and join in on all the fun.

I am also sending Holiday Inspiration newsletters during November and December. Sign up for my newsletter to have Holiday Inspiration sent directly to your inbox. (upper right hand side of the home page)

I always enjoy hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

Signs of Santa Paper Sampler

When I saw this adorable Signs of Santa stamp set and Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper, I knew I had to make a paper sampler. The whimsical little Santa crew makes me smile every time I look at them.

Isn’t she a cutie??

I chose to make my sampler a little bit smaller than usual because the characters are short and roly poly.

To create this sampler you will die cut the characters and an assortment of scalloped squares and designer series paper. Play around with your placement and design until you are happy with the way it looks. Add some embellishments to give the elements some dimension and your sampler is finished.

The sparkly Merry is die cut using the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper. This assortment of glimmer paper has the prettiest colors!

I love sparkle.

A 9×9 frame worked just right for this sampler. I can’t wait to display it during the holidays.

3rd Annual Breast Cancer Blog Hop

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Blog Hop!

We are featuring all the lovely “Pinks” Stampin’ Up! provides us. We have so many pinks to choose from, the best thing is they all go together so well.

Did you know we have a new pink glimmer paper in the Annual Catalog??? Rose Glimmer paper is a true pink. I decided to use the Rose Glimmer paper on two pink projects.

First up:

A friendship card.

This sweet card would cheer up someone who is going through chemo or is a caregiver for someone who is undergoing treatment. We can’t forget those caregivers.

Botanical Bliss

Botanical Bliss stamps and dies were used to create this card. After die cutting the leaves and I decided to use the negative piece as a stencil. Sponging the  leaves on the barn wood background created dimension on the card.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the past few years I have participated in a Pretty in Pink Fundraiser. These ladies do an amazing job of decorating, providing inspirational speakers, fabulous food and wonderful craft booths. I didn’t get many pictures, but you can see from the tables that they really go all out decorating!

Check out these candy boxes I created for my booth. The pattern came from The Paper Pixie (Julie DiMatteo). Thanks Julie for such clear directions.

I used Powder Pink card stock and the Rose Glimmer Paper. Of course, some yummy chocolate is inside the box.

Make sure you continue on with the Blog Hop. Amazing creations are ahead.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Friends of SUBA Autumn Blog Hop

Hello Friends, I am hopping with the Friends of SUBA Group. Our theme this month is Autumn.

I am so thankful the weather is finally starting to look and feel like Autumn. This past summer was so hot! Cooler weather always makes me feel better and gives me more energy.

Autumn cards thinking of you stampin' up ginny harrell

I chose to go with sparkly fall leaves. The copper glimmer paper from Joyous Noel collection makes lovely leaves layered over Wood Texture DSP. Tie your leaves with a linen thread bow and you have an Autumn bouquet.
