Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends blog hop, where we are featuring some amazing projects made with the new products from the January – April Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-bration rewards. Sale-a-bration is the most exciting time of the year for Stampin’ Up! fans, as we get to enjoy FREE products with every $50.00 US purchase. There is no limit to how many free items you can earn, and this year’s selection includes gorgeous papers and versatile and cute stamp sets.
For my project, I decided to use the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, which is one of the free Sale-a-bration choices. I love this paper because it is so elegant and suitable for many occasions. You can see how lovely it looks on my card.
To make this card, I also used the Adoring Hearts Bundle, which costs $53.00 US and qualifies you for a free Sale-a-bration item. This bundle includes the Adoring Hearts stamp set and the coordinating dies, which are ideal for creating romantic and sweet cards. Don’t you agree?

My blog is called Celebrate the Journey because my husband and I are passionate about traveling. We always have a trip planned and sometimes more than one trip at a time. One of our dream destinations is Thailand. I was curious about how they celebrate the New Year in Thailand.
Songkran is the name of the Thailand New Year celebration. Songkran falls on April 13 every year, but the holiday period lasts from 14 to 15 April. They also observe the January New Year, but the official holiday is in April. Songkran comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘to move’ or ‘movement’. It refers to the movement of the sun from one position to another in the zodiac. Water is a key element of the Songkran Festival. It symbolizes cleansing, renewal, and blessings. People splash water on each other, on statues of Buddha, and on animals. Other symbols of Songkran are exotic flowers, elephants, sunshine, beach scenes, and lots of playful fun.
I wanted to create a card that captures the spirit of Songkran. After looking through my stamp sets and dies I came up with this happy, colorful card. Itis so cool how we can use our stamps to celebrate different cultures and traditions. I hope this card is a good tribute to this wonderful holiday.

I’m sure the other bloggers have some interesting insights on other New Year celebrations. #StampingDiversity

The theme for today’s Blog Hop is What is Old – is New Again. Stamping with Friends will show you how to combine new products with old techniques or layouts. I’m excited to see what they have created.
Digging through some of my previous cards I decided to CASE this card layout. I adore the vibrant colors and the fancy DSP.
I used this layout to make a new card with Cutest Cows. Mixing the Zoo Crew DSP from the Annual Catalog and the Most Adored DSP from the current Sale-a-bration Catalog created a coordinated look. It’s amazing how well our products match with each other.
The Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends add a bit of whimsy to this fun card.
Isn’t this cow adorable? So cute and charming.
I would love to see your cards created with this layout. You can post them on my Facebook page if you want to share.
