Stamptastic Friends Share a Sketch Challenge

stamptastic friends blog hop

Welcome to our monthly Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month, we have a fun challenge: we are all making cards based on the same sketch. I find sketches very helpful when I need some inspiration or a fresh idea.

A sketch gives you a starting point and a layout to follow.

Two Tone flora

I chose to use the Two Tone Flora stamp set from the Annual Catalog. This set has beautiful flowers that look very realistic with the two step stamping technique. My color scheme was inspired by the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper. This paper is a special release that came out this month. I love the vibrant colors and patterns in this paper.

I hope I have inspired you to give this sketch a try.

Waterfall Card for Stamping with Friends

Hues of Happiness

I haven’t made a Waterfall card in ages. It’s such a fun and enjoyable activity! This cute card brings me joy. A waterfall card has four embellished squares that, when the tab is pulled, it flips up to show the next picture. People adore cards with dynamic elements and this one has an extra feature: your message or another picture is uncovered as you pull down the tab. A card with motion AND a hidden message is unique.

You’ll be clucking with delight over the Hey Chuck waterfall card! These whimsical hens and hilarious sayings are ideal for a waterfall card.

I’m eager to find out what the others have made. The cards will surely be extraordinary and original. Hop on to my friends & discover more waterfall cards!
