Welcome to our Virtual Pride Parade! While most places celebrate June as Pride Month, parades, festivals, and celebrations run all summer
and representation matters 365 days of the year!
You probably knew that the rainbow flag used as a symbol of LGBTQ pride, but did you know that each color on the flag has its own meaning? In the widely known six-color flag, red is symbolic of life, orange is symbolic of healing, yellow is sunshine, green is nature, blue represents harmony and purple is spirit.Â
I created my own version of the Rainbow Flag. (I must have missed yellow!)
I used the broadest Water Painter to create the colorful swishes across the page. A touch of Wink of Stella adds a bit of shine. I twisted 3 different colors of Bakers Twine to create the knot on the banner. The sentiment is heat embossed with black embossing powder.
I thought this sentiment from Friends Are Like Seashells worked well for my card. Of course, this sentiment works for everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you hop on to see more Pride cards and projects.
