Something Old-Something New

My cards today feature the Daisy Punch from the Annual Catalog and the sweet Gingham Designer Series Paper from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. Mixing products you may already own with new products keep your card crafts fresh and new without breaking the bank.

Here is my card:

Look at that adorable paper, it is so on trend this year. Using the negative of the Daisy Punch allows the Gingham paper to be the center of attention.

You know how much I love the Note Cards that Stampin’ Up!® sells. Having a scored and folded card ready to use is a huge time saver.

Once I created the first card I decided to make a set of cards. I used a variety of sentiments giving me some fun cards all ready to send no matter what the occasion.

Look through all your supplies and see how you can mix some old supplies with new products to create a new look

I always enjoy hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

Happy Stamping!

Happy Tails-Happy Saturday

Hello Stampers! I hope you have some exciting plans for this weekend. My plans are simple: sleep in, craft and dinner with friends. A perfect weekend.

Today I am sharing a sweet little card created using the new Happy Tails Bundle. This bundle is just what every dog lover needs and wants.

I kept this card simple as I plan to use it as a sympathy card for when a friend loses a special pet family member.

Friends of SUBA Share Sale-a-bration

Happy Sunday Stampers! I am hopping today with my friends across the pond. We decided to focus on Sale-a-bration products for this post. Boy it was hard for me to pick which SAB product to highlight.

I finally chose Part of My Story because it is a fantastic collection of sentiments. Sentiments are like shoes – a girl can never have too many.  Then I thought, these would work for a One Sheet Wonder group of cards. Have you ever tried OSW? It is perfect for using your Designer Series Paper.

I started out using my color theme of Night of Navy and Crumb Cake.

Night Of Navy 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock

Crumb Cake 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock

I wanted these cards to work for men and women and picking a neutral color palette worked just fine. The sweet blue and tan DSP from Needlepoint Nook fit my colors perfectly.

Next, I got busy cutting. This is the OSW cutting guide I used:

I created a stack of card bases in Night of Nay and Crumb Cake. They I started trying out layouts and designs. Once I had a design I liked I added mats in coordinating colors. When the card front was complete, I added the sentiment. Using all sorts of embellishments gave me a good variety of cards. Get creative with your supplies.

Time saving tip:

Die cut a bunch of all our shapes and keep them on hand for easy crafting. This is a huge time saver. Here is my box of pre-cut shapes. Grab and stamp!
