Winter Woods for What’s New at SU!

Did you know there is a new Holiday Catalog coming out September 5th? I bet you have already seen some peeks of the amazing products. So many wonderful new stamps, paper, and embellishments.

Today the What’s New at SU Team is hoping along and sharing some of the new products with you. Make sure you click on the links at the bottom of the page to follow along on with the hop. It will make it hard to wait until September 5th to place your order!

I chose to showcase a Christmas set titled: Winter Woods. These trees are lovely and can be used in many ways. Nobody does trees like Stampin’ Up does.

My first card uses the Winter Woods large pine/fir tree die as well as the die cuts for the leafless trees.

I added a church from the Hometown Greeting Edgelits. A tip: Slide a little bit of card stock behind the doors and windows to make it look like the lights are turned on.

The second card highlights the stand of trees. I heat embossed them in white on Night of Navy card stock. The contrast of navy, white and silver is always one of my favorite combinations.

Lastly, I wanted to share a card that is not Christmas. I used the die cuts to create a sympathy card.

I used the new Embossing Mats turn the dies into embossing dies.

Have you tried them yet? They really are cool and help you stretch your tools and supplies.

Thanks  for taking the time to stop by today. Hop on to Tricia and see the Spooky Fun she has to share.

Rooted in Nature Fall Sampler

We can almost feel Fall in the air….even though it is still hot in the south. The leaves are starting to fall and the sunset is slowly changing. I even saw Pumpkin Spice at Starbuck’s which signals fall is on the way!

I was inspired to create a fall paper sampler to put on my buffet in the kitchen. These samplers are fun to make. It is sort of like creating mini cards for each square.

Rooted in Nature stamp set is huge – 16 stamp sets and 12 matching dies make up this bundle. The coordinating Designer Series Paper is beautiful also. I have almost used an entire pack of paper on fall cards and this sampler.

Thanks for stopping by today. Come back tomorrow for a blog hop showcasing the new holiday catalog.

Thanks for stopping by today.
