Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. I am excited to be a guest blogger this month. This month we are sharing new and returning, amazing Stampin’ Up! colours. I know you will enjoy this outstanding group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and all their lovely projects.
Currently you are visiting Ginny Harrell at Celebrate the Journey. Welcome to my blog. To see the rest of the blogs in the hop, please see the list below. Here is a hint: we love comments.
Have you seen all the new and returning colours for this year? They are outstanding. I have yet to pick a favorite because I love them all. I will say that I squealed when I heard Coastal Cabana was returning. Coastal Cabana coordinates with just about everything. Especially the new Gorgeous Grape, Lovely Lipstick, Poppy Parade and more.
The launch of the new catalog is right around the corner. Hopefully you have received your catalog by now, if not please contact your local demonstrator.
Today I am focusing on projects made with the new Springtime Impressions Thinlits. This thinlit enables you to create beautiful cards in a variety of ways. First it coordinates with a stamp set, Abstract Impressions, second you can color it, third it is stunning left white.
Here I cut the thinlit out of Thick Whisper White card stock. The image is sponged with Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, and a touch of Shaded Spruce. All new colours from Stampin’ Up! The flowers are centered with pearls. Sponging gives the flowers a watercolor effect. It does not have to be perfect!
Colour, colour, colour makes me smile.
If you are not into colouring or sponging, then I suggest you try a card like these. Aren’t they pretty? Just pick a color, sentiment and adhere the image. Your friends will be thrilled to receive a beautiful card.
Thank you for visiting today. To carry on with the hop use the links below.

Welcome to the May SUBA blog hop dedicated to Stampin’ Up! Pre-Order products. These new products will be available for you to order starting June 1, 2018. We thought it might be fun to get you excited about new stamps, framelits, punches and COLOR! You may have just started with me or hopped over from Gina at Emerald Creations. Make sure you continue the hop as you are going to love what we have to share.
SUBA stands for Simply Unique Business Angels which is headed up by Louise Sims and Pip Todman. They have helped us all so much with their training courses and you can find out more about them here.
I have three projects to share today, all created with Sea of Textures Bundle. This was a bundle we were able to pre-order so we could start preparing for the new Stampin’ Up! year. If like sea and beach themed sets this will be just right for you.
My first card is the simplest of all the three.
To create this card, you will use the Under the Sea Framelits and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Can you spot the two new colors? Costal Cabana and Lovely Lipstick. So bright and cheery.
This card is embellished… really embellished!
I had so much fun adding elements and texture to this card front. Every once and awhile I have to go overboard on a card. The Powder Pink octopus is white embossed to give her a soft look. She sure is sweet.
Next up is a mini album.
We will be going to the beach in later in the month, so I thought it would be cool to have a mini album all ready to add the pictures and memorabilia when we return home.
It is hard to get a good photo of the album as it has so many sides, pages, and angles. I hope you can get an idea of how it folds up into a smaller album.
Most of the elements are held on with temporary tape so I can put them on top of the photos once I get them added.
There are also 2 pocket pages for tickets etc. I like to save little reminders of our trips. Do you?
I hope you have enjoyed my projects. I certainly had fun creating them. Remember these new products will be available starting June 1.

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project #138 sketch. I needed some sympathy cards and this sketch gave me a starting point.
Click HERE to link see all the design team cards. Great inspiration for this sketch.
I went with monochrome colors for a soft and sweet sympathy card. I like Whisper White or Very Vanilla for sympathy cards. Every once and awhile I may use a light pink or blue. Soft and simple are my usual go to. It is always hard to make sympathy cards, so I do like to have a few in reserve. Do you keep them in your stash or do you like to create for each occasion?
Here is my Sympathy card:
All Very Vanilla with a tiny bit of Crumb Cake for an accent. I am glad this set, Flourishing Phrases will be in the new catalog. It is perfect for weddings, sympathy, and birthdays. Love a set that is multipurpose.
Don’t forget the Occasions Catalog is ending May 31 along with all the retiring products. Click HERE to see the retiring products.
Did you watch the Royal Wedding today? It was lovely. I so enjoyed seeing all the pretty colors, flowers and the wedding couple seemed so happy. I wish them all the best. I might have to take a nap after getting up so early though!
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Saturday!
