Flowers Presented by RemARKably Created Blog Hop

This is my second post of the day – Go Me! This post is all about Flowers and the RemARKable Stampers have a lot to share. You can never run out of flower ideas if you are a Stampin’ Up stamper/demonstrator. We love flowers!

You may have arrived here from Gloria Plunkett’s blog or you are just starting here with Ginny Harrell @ Celebrate the Journey. If you happen to get off track or lost just scroll down to the bottom and you will see the entire list of participants.

Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper has beautiful flowers!

I have gone through at least 2 packs (or more) of the gorgeous Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series paper. If you haven’t looked at it then you should look again. It makes beautiful cards. There are so many colors to use and that means a different look for each card design.

Created by Ginny Harrell #flowers #Stampin' Up Annual Catalog

My first card uses Soft Sky cardstock, Pear Pizazz cardstock, and Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. You will use the stamp set Perennial Birthday to stamp the flowers and sentiment. These flowers are so easy to color. Just use a sponge dauber and swirl the ink inside the flower image. This card design is called a Triangle Fold card. Use a small Velcro dot to keep it closed.

It is different and easy, which I really like.

More Flowers!

My second card lets the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP do hard the work. You layer the DSP behind the split in the cardstock. Then fussy cut the flowers from a piece of DSP. Use the leaf from Painted Harvest and the Leaf Punch to create the leaves under the flowers. All these layers will be popped up with dimensionals. Use whichever sentiment you like. I used Beautiful You for this card.

Now hop on over to Jamie’s Blog and see what she has to share. Make sure you leave a comment and show her some stamping love. We all love comments. If you get off track just click on the links below.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Friends of SUBA Present Retiring Products

Welcome to the April Friends of SUBA Blog Hop. This month we are focusing on Stampin’ Up! Retiring Products. Some of my favorite products are in the current Annual Catalog and you still have time to purchase them. Lucky you! Don’t procrastinate because they are available through May 31 or while supplies last.

You may have arrived from Stampin’ n Crafting with Cheryldiana or you are just starting here with Ginny Harrell @ Celebrate the Journey. If you happen to get off track or lost just scroll down to the bottom and you will see the entire list of participants.

Watercolor Wings is the all-around winner for cardmakers.

My first two cards use the Watercolor Wings stamp. I have used this one set so much I am not sure what I will do without it. This stamp makes beautiful birthday cards, thinking of you cards, sympathy cards, baby cards, thank you cards – Watercolor Wings works for everything.

I created a soft card as a sympathy card and then I created second card with the same layout, but it is bolder and a little more fun. I left it blank, so I can use it for any occasion.

Which one is your favorite? Bold or soft?

Did you notice I also used retiring ink colors? We will be saying so long to Marina Mist and Island Indigo.

Cool Treats is one of those retiring stamp sets that never got much attention.

Cool Treats is the perfect stamp set if you have young children or teenagers. Everyone loves ice cream. For this card I bunched the sweet treats on the left side, cut up the sentiment and added a small strip of DSP. A quick and easy card.

Please note: All DSP retires every year, except this year the Wood Textures DSP is carrying over. Yippee! I love it when Stampin’ Up listens to our suggestions.

If this is the first time that you have come across our SUBA blog hops and are wondering what SUBA stands for – well it stands for “Simply Unique Business Angels”. You may sell Stampin’ Up, or make-up, essential oils, or candles. They still have much to offer you.

Please spend some time looking through the Retiring Products today. Some great stamp sets and supplies will be disappearing soon.
