Beautiful Peacock for Simple Sunday

Happy New Year’s Eve!

Today is Simple Sunday. Just what you need as you get ready to watch the ball drop.

This card uses Beautiful Peacock, a set from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. These stamps will be available January 3, 2018.

I love this color combination. I had not used Fresh Fig very much but lately it has been a go-to color. It looks great with Tranquil Tide. It is also a good color for masculine cards, which are always in demand.

Medallion Tip: This medallion is from Eastern Medallions Thinlits. Die cut the largest image and snip off the outer ring. Then you have this cool background medallion.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your New Year celebrations are amazing. Stay safe!

   Happy Stamping!

CASE the Catalog – Petal Passion Memories & More

We had a wonderful holiday break in Denver visiting family, but we are glad to be back home. Sleeping in your own bed is heaven! Highlights of our mini-vacation include Christmas gifts, bowling, goofy golf in 30 degree temps, eating too much, board games and lots of hugs and laughter.

My card for today is a CASE the catalog card. The new Occasions Catalog has this lovely set, Petal Palette. It comes as a bundle but it also has accessories to enhance the bundle. Petal Passion Memories & More has a variety of images perfect for scrapbooking and card making. These cards are the easiest way I know to create a fast and stunning card. Select a card from the pack and get busy!

My project is on page 24 of the Occasions catalog. It is shown as part of a wedding layout for a Memories & More scrapbook page. I saw it as a Valentine card!

These little love birds are super sweet. I trimmed the card down a little bit on each side so it would not overpower the leaves peeking out around the edges. I used the Petal Palette Thinlits to cut the black leaves and the card was complete. I had to use Wink of Stella on the tiny heart to give it some shine.

Here is a glimpse of the variety of cards that come in the pack. I can’t wait to make more quick and easy projects with this set.

It is hard to believe 2018 is almost here. Cheer’s to a new year!

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Magical Day for FMS#318

I hope everyone had a glorious Christmas Day. Now we get to continue the celebration with the 12 Days of Christmas. Not the song but the real 12 Days! If you have ever wondered about the 12 Days of Christmas you can read more here. The short version is this: The 12 days of Christmas is the period that in Christian theology marks the span between the birth of Christ and the coming of the Magi — the three wise men. It begins on December 25 (Christmas) and runs through January 6 (the Epiphany, sometimes also called Three Kings’ Day).

We are visiting family in Denver. It is always fun to see our Grands and enjoy family fun. Last night we played a new game called Werewolf. We weren’t very good at it!

Today I have a card to share that uses a bundle from the new Occasions Catalog. It will be available starting January 3, 2018.

This stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites sets! It is a set I would not really have considered purchasing, but I won it at OnStage. It just goes to show you how most stamp sets can win you over once you start playing with them.

I used the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #318. I turned my card horizontal though. I love the large area of “white space” at the bottom of the card. It’s different from my usual style.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you are with family take time to slow down and enjoy!
