Our Advent Tree & Paper Pumpkin
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house. We even put up a tree this year. Many years we don’t decorate a tree because we are traveling. We always go to visit our grandchildren in Colorado and I dislike coming home after Christmas and having to put everything away, but this year we decided we needed a tree. Our tree is small and we only hang ornaments from our travels. Those ornaments bring a smile to my face. Such wonderful memories of places we have visited.
Last year I asked a friend to make me an “Advent Tree” out of wood slats. I saw the design on Pinterest. It was late December before I picked it up so it went in the attic until this year. I had intended to create some little bags or paper stockings for the tree UNTIL the November Paper Pumpkin arrived at my house. These stockings were perfect for my Advent tree!
I added numbers and gold bling to the top of the stocking. I am so in love with how this turned out. Thank you Evan, Stampin’ Up and Paper Pumpkin!
The stockings have candy in them. I need some visitors to come enjoy the sweets.
