We have sort of fallen into a routine around here. Mr. Jones wakes us up between 6:30-7:30. We take turns feeding him, so someone can sleep a little later. We enjoy our Nespresso coffee and a light breakfast. The rest of the morning is spent on chores, email, and catching up blogging. Then we take off for an afternoon of sightseeing.
Because we have been to Paris many times we are trying to visit new places.
Parc Monceau is near our flat. it is about a 10 minute walk away.We visited in early evening and the park was busy with children riding the carousel and nanny’s walking the babies before bedtime. It was pretty cold that night so we didn’t stay long.
Le Bon Marche is another Paris icon department store. The store is celebrating its 160 birthday. Their windows were beautiful but understated compared to the gaudy Galleries and Printemps displays.
This place was insanely expensive. I picked up a scarf I liked for Wade, it was €900.00. That is about $1000.00! The scarf is still at Le Bon Marche!
In the same neighborhood is Saint-Germain-des-pres. This neighborhood is upscale and ritzy.
It does have a beautiful church, The Abbey of Saint Germain.
Thanks for stopping by today.
