Today I took Rick Steves’ suggested Marais Walk including Place des Vosges and window shopping in the Jewish Quarter. At the end of the walk, one winds up in The Beauborg at the Pompidou Center. Adjoining is the Homage to Stravinsky fountains. Every fountain represents one of his hard-to-hum scores.
Lunch consisted of my first Paris street food – a Parisian Hot Dog. Actually, two weenies (pale colored and mild) lined up in a baguette with warm melted cheese. The day’s tour ended by wandering down Rue de Rivoli and spotting Benjamin Harrell’s cafe before catching the Metro back home.
As I finished writing this post, I looked out my bedroom window to see this most Impressionist cloud formation. It looked like huge cloud brush-strokes in the sky!
