With Gratitude for Thanksgiving

Hello Stampers! Can you believe it is almost November? Here in the states we start the Fall/Winter holidays with Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving and on to Christmas. Time to get your card making in gear to be ready for all the fun holidays!

Today I have a “Gratitude” card to share with you. This will be just right for Thanksgiving or as a “thank you for being my friend” message. I like to have cards on hand for when I need to send someone a special message.

To create this card, you will need the Tin Tile embossing folder and Country Home stamp set. The card base is Crumb Cake layered with Soft Sage and Balmy Blue. I embossed the Balmy Blue card stock and then rubbed the card stock with Whisper White Craft Ink. It gave it the vintage look I wanted. The Milk Can is stamped on Copper Foil using Stazon Ink. I highlighted parts of the can with a Bronze Blend marker. You will fussy cut the milk can, but it is worth the effort!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Stamping!

Mocha Latte for Global Design Project #159

Fall is my favorite season of the year. Summer in the south is HOT and fall brings a very welcome change in temperature. Today I am sharing a Fall card related to the Pumpkin Spice Latte trend.  My fall beverage is a Mocha Latte.  I wrapped my cozy mocha cups in a flannel plaid, added a crinkled belly band, and some glittery wheat stalks. Of course, I sprinkled cocoa on the whipped cream. So fun…this card just makes me smile.

Two Mocha Lattes to go, please.

Fall in Love is the Theme Challenge for Global Design Project #159. I thought this would do nicely for the challenge.

Mocha Latte Wheat Stalks

Tips for creating the Mocha Latte Card:

  • The wheat stalks are the feather ends of the Chase Your Dream Framelits
  • The “warmth” sentiment is from a Christmas set – Hearts Come Home.
  • When using the new Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder add a layer of wax paper. It will keep your paper from tearing.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Stamping!
