Last Minute Gift Card Holders

I’m just popping in today with a quick & easy gift card/money holder. It is helpful to have some of these on hand “just in case”! The good thing about these is you can make them in just minutes using some of your left over Designer Series Paper scraps. Make a few for every occasion; birthdays, Christmas, Valentine’s Day. It is an enormous time saver.

Here are the measurements I used:

Cut your cardstock 7 ¾” x 5”  Score at 6” & 2 ½”

Cut a belly band 8” x 1” Score at 6 1/8”  & 2 ½”

Cut 2 pieces of DSP: 4 ¾” x 2 ¼” & 4 ¾” x 1 ½”

Cut one piece of white or vanilla cardstock 4 ¾” x 1 ½” for inside.

Once you layer and adhere the DSP you can create a finger slot using a 1 ½” circle punch. Seal the sides only of the bottom section using score tape or Tombow glue.

Fit belly band around the Gift Card Holder. Adhere the ends together and decorate as you wish. These can be plain or over the top fancy. Get creative!

Thanks for stopping by today! I know your friends will love these little gifts.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe for #TGIF138

TGIF has a fun challenge this week…Christmas Carols. The suggestion is to pick a Christmas Carol and create a card or project. Of course, not everyone celebrates Christmas so they said just pick a song. That works!

Love them or hate them Christmas Carols are part of the holiday season. I just wish they didn’t start playing them in store until AFTER Thanksgiving! There is something wrong with hearing Jingle Bells when it is 90 degrees outside.

I had a hard time picking just one song so I made two cards; one card for fun and one more serious. I love them both.

Let’s do fun first – Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Randy Travis inspired this card.

We Three Kings inspired my other card. I wanted dark glimmer paper behind the star so I covered Night of Navy cardstock with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. It really sparkles!

How about you? What kind of cards do you send?

Here is some real fun! I thought you might enjoy this.

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!
