Sitting Here – Thinking of You

I held a club class yesterday and this Sitting Here card was one of our projects. I love the simplicity of this card and am so glad I will have 5 for my use. One can never have too many thinking of you cards. Now I can just reach in my card box and pull one out as needed.

Sitting Here Thinking of You

I left the inside blank to be able to write a personal message.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • With a Stampin’ Trimmer, cut a card base of 11” x 4 ¼”. Score and fold at 5 ½”. I used Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • Use the Stampin’ Trimmer, cut Garden Impressions DSP 5 ¼” x 4”. Cut two pieces of Whisper White card stock 4 ½” x 3 ¾”. One for card front, one for inside.
  • Stamp front of card using Black Memento ink and Blueberry Bushel. Start stamping from the bottom up so you can get the spacing correct.
  • Color image with Soft Suede, Flirty Flamingo, and Pool Party Blends.
  • Stamp pillows on scrap pieces of cardstock and DSP. Color as desired and cut each pillow.
  • Assemble the card as shown.
  • Create a small banner and attach it to the top of your card. Add a tiny bow of baker’s twine.

Happy Stamping!

His Light for Klyie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello Friends. I am taking a Business Class with Kylie Bertucci this Stampin’ Up year. One of the perks of this class is the opportunity to participate in an International Blog Hop. You will absolutely want to click on every blog link for some amazing inspiration.

Let’s get hopping!

I chose a stamp set I have not seen used much-yet. I know it will become popular once folks see the lovely cards and projects they can create. Another plus is the cards are simple and stunning.

“His Light” has 4 beautiful script verses. You can use these as a focal point of your card or as the sentiment for cards with other images. I always say you can never have enough words!

I chose to use the large Rejoice as my main focal point.

Combining the gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper made this card shine.

Have you noticed all the copper products we have in our catalogs this year? Copper is a very on-trend right now in the fashion world and in card crafting. Here are just a few copper products we are currently carrying.

Copper Products

You may not be able to see the copper shine of the Rejoice. To get this effect without using embossing powder I used the new Copper Shimmer Paint and dabbed it directly on the stamp. It makes a nice shiny sentiment but you don’t have to use your heat gun. I also think the subtle shine is perfect for this card. Use your stamparatus and stamp multiples. You will be impressed with the way if looks. To clean my stamp I used a Shammy and a dry paint brush to get all leftover ink from the corners and edges.

Now it is time for you to check out all the other blogs.  Grab a cup of coffee or a cool drink and enjoy yourself. Leave a comment or two. Everyone loves comments.

Happy Stamping!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Cauldron Bubble for Inspire.Create #026

Popping in with a quick Halloween post. I love everything about Halloween if it is cute, funny and not scary. This sweet little witch from Cauldron Bubble is not scary in the least! Her cute clothes and face make me smile.

This card was inspired by the Inspire.Create sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch:

 Here is my card:

The little witch is colored with Blends and the bat has a touch of Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle.
