Hey, Friend

My friends are the best. They cheer me on and support me in my business. I like to spoil them by sending cards. Do you ever just send a card to a friend “just because?” It is sure to put a smile on their face. Everyone likes to get happy mail once and awhile.

Love What You Do Stampin' Up! Ginny Harrell

Stampin’ Up!® has two versions of Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. One version, Delightfully Detailed Laser- Cut is currently a Sale-a-bration item. You can earn this beautiful paper for free with a $50.00 purchase.

Love What You Do Stampin' Up! Ginny Harrell

I was so intimidated by this paper that I put off using it for several weeks after I purchased it. Let me tell you….don’t be intimidated. This specialty paper is easy to use, and you will be able to create several stunning cards with one pack. You can see lots of pretty ideas on my Laser-Cut Pinterest Board. Click HERE.

For this card I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, an elegant color combination. The flower stamp is from Love What You Do. I colored it with Blends and shined it up with Wink of Stella. A few pearls and a shiny bow give the card a finished look.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Dandelion Wishes – Thinking of You

I fell in love with Dandelion Wishes the moment I saw it. It brought back so many memories of picking dandelions, making daisy chain necklaces/crowns and blowing wishes once the dandelions turned in to puff balls.

Simple childhood games. So many good times!

Dandelion Wishes Stampin' Up! Ginny Harrell

I did a little research on dandelions: Did you know Dandelions are the flower of healing? Once they become puff balls they stand for the moving on to new beginnings.

We all thought they were just weeds.

After all this research I realized the sentiment I chose worked perfectly with this stamp set. Part of My Story is a Sale-a-bration set. It can be yours with a $50.00 purchase.

For the circle highlight I created a mask and used the sponge brayer to apply Daffodil Delight ink on my card front. Then I stamped my image and the sentiment. Super easy card to create multiples. I send a lot of Thinking of You cards.

Card Measurements:

Whisper White Card Base: 8 ½”  x 5 ½” scored and folded

Garden Impressions DSP: 5 ½” x 4 ¼”

Daffodil Delight Cardstock: 5 ¼” x 1”

Whisper White Cardstock: 5” x 3 ¾”

Ink: Memento Black and Daffodil Delight

The tiny butterfly is cut with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlit dies. HINT: You can cut the butterfly out of the center of your first layer of DSP. No one will ever know.

Hello, Dear Friend

Today’s simple project uses Life is Grand (Occasions Catalog) paired with Painted Seasons Bundle (FREE with a $100.00 purchase). Painted Seasons is one stunning stamp set!

I took my color inspiration from a picture of beautiful succulents. Succulents come in so many different shades, shapes and colors. This card could be changed just by choosing different ink. Love that!

Hello, Dear Friend

Large sentiments can make your cards pop.  Life is Grand has the perfect font combination along with spot on greetings. Hello, Dear Friend is probably my favorite in the set. Which one is your favorite?

Hello, Dear Friend Ginny Harrell Stampin' Up!

Want to create this look on your succulents? Ink up the stamp using Pear Pizzazz. Use a dauber to add Gorgeous Grape ink to the edge of your stamp blossom. Stamp directly on your card front. Make sure you CLEAN your stamp in between stamping so you don’t get Gorgeous Grape ink on your Pear Pizzazz ink pad. I also used a mask to cover up the blossoms before I added the leaves.

Simple cards can be a challenge

Keep this card simple with a couple of cardstock layers for interest. You can  use your Stamparatus for the sentiment and mass produce this card with no mistakes.  What is even better?? There are coordinating Four Seasons framelits to go with the Painted Seasons Bundle. Adding the framelits to your craft stash will make this set even more versatile.

I hope you have a wonderful stamping day!

Catch of the Day for Freshly Made Sketches

Hello Stampers. It has been sort of quiet in the blog for a few weeks. I had to take some time to help my sister. I am so grateful for a job that gives me the time to connect with family as needed or just take time to be quiet.” Don’t we all need that quiet time in our life? Looking at the seasons of our life and contemplating what is ahead is essential for a healthy attitude. For me this is a season of contemplation, excitement and creativity, at a much slower pace!

Today I am sharing a masculine card. I hear from my customers how it is hard to create cards for the men in their life. Best Catch Bundle may solve that problem for you.

My starting point was this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #377.

 FMS377

The net behind the fish is from Sea of Textures. You could also use a piece of shredded ribbon or a burlap scrap. Texture makes a card interesting.

This card was so much fun to put together and I know just who will be getting this exciting mail.

Don’t forget this is the last month of Stampin’ Up! ® Sale-a-bration. Some items are selling out so make sure you check My Store for the most current information.

Sending Prayers for Freshly Made Sketches #375

Hello friends. Oh, my goodness. Look at this sketch! I am NOT a triangle girl at all. Circle, ovals, squares and rectangles are perfect for me and my cards.

FMS375

I am up for this challenge though. I created a visual triangle on my card. What do you think?

Clean & simple, my favorite kind of sympathy card.

Change the sentiment and you could make this a birthday card for a beach lover, or a get-well card for someone who needs a little pick me up. Versatility and creativity is what card making is all about.

I always enjoy hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

Have a fabulous day!

Something Old-Something New

My cards today feature the Daisy Punch from the Annual Catalog and the sweet Gingham Designer Series Paper from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. Mixing products you may already own with new products keep your card crafts fresh and new without breaking the bank.

Here is my card:

Look at that adorable paper, it is so on trend this year. Using the negative of the Daisy Punch allows the Gingham paper to be the center of attention.

You know how much I love the Note Cards that Stampin’ Up!® sells. Having a scored and folded card ready to use is a huge time saver.

Once I created the first card I decided to make a set of cards. I used a variety of sentiments giving me some fun cards all ready to send no matter what the occasion.

Look through all your supplies and see how you can mix some old supplies with new products to create a new look

I always enjoy hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

Happy Stamping!
