I’m participating in the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop today. The February theme is Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My! Stampin’ Up! has a wide variety of animal stamps so I know you will be inspired by all the fun, cute cards. I am using Foxy Friends as my animal stamp set.

 Foxy Friends to the Rescue

It has been awhile since I inked up the Foxy Friends stamp set, and this blog hop gave me the opportunity to show these animal critters some inky love.

Created by Ginny Harrell using foxy Friends by Stampin' Up! Ginny Harrell @ Celebrate-the-journey.com #stampn' up! #2018 Occasions Catalog #animal cards

To create this Foxy card you will start with a Cajun Craze card base. Cut a Whisper White panel – 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”. Run the card base through your Big Shot using the Woodlands embossing folder. Cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock at 5 3/8” x 2”. Cut the cardstock in a wavy line to make the “grass” for the bottom edge of the card. Use the grass stamp from High Tide to randomly stamp on the green cardstock. Attach this piece to the white layer. Stamp your Cajun Craze fox on Whisper White cardstock, punch out the pieces using the Fox Builder Punch. Ink up the Fox sentiment using a Basic Black marker and Cajun Craze marker. Punch the circle using the 1 ¾” circle punch. Use the Layering Circle framelits to cut a Cajun Craze scallop circle. Stamp the tree trunk on a scrap of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. Fussy cut the trunk piece. Attached the tree trunk to the card front, assemble the fox and attach him to the card front. Use a dimensional to attach the sentiment to the top righthand side of the card front. Tie the Copper Trim ribbon around the bottom of the card. Attach the card front to the card base. Your Foxy card is now complete!

You can have a Foxy Animal Baby also!

While this set was sitting on my desk I decided to make two baby cards, just because. I love babies!

To create the background on these cards you will start with Petal Passion Designer Series Paper. Use your Sponge Brayer to color the DSP, either Flirty Flamingo or Marina Mist. Black and white paper is so easy to customize with a Sponge Brayer. Stamp the sweet raccoon with Smoky Slate and Basic Black ink, cut the circle using a Stitched Framelit and mount it on a piece of cardstock that has been cut using the Layering Circles Framelits. Add some embellishments and ribbon of your choice and assemble your card. Easy Peasy card making!

I hope these animal cards have made you smile today. Please take the time to hop on to our next stamper. You won’t want to miss all the animal projects my fellow demo friends have created.

I appreciate you stopping by today. Happy hopping!
